Our goal at Tuscany Tours and Wineries is to exceed your expectations and provide you with the trip of a lifetime to the scenic, beautiful, and historic cities of Italy.
We take our guests on several unique tours that we have created ourselves, based on years of personal travel throughout this amazing land.
We will stay in the highest quality hotels and dine at some of the finest restaurants and vineyards in Italy. Your stay with us will allow you to see the culture, heritage, and people of Italy close up and personally.
While touring with us, you will experience personalized attention in our small group of up to 10 guests, versus other tours with over 50 tourist per group.
While traveling with John and Gayle McKay, you can expect that they will strive to exceed your expectations throughout your trip. They know the areas that are most interesting to visit and tour, but in addition to your travel enjoyment of Italy, they also provide for your safety and comfort at all times.

- Personal Service
Pack your bag and head for Rome or Venice (depending on the tour chosen). We will meet you and travel with you every step of the way. The goal is to minimize stress and maximize the experience. - 4-5 Star Accommodations (depending on the tour chosen)
Hotels are chosen for quality, location and safety. During our visit to the Cinque Terre we will stay in a 5 star rated villa located a four minute train ride from the Cinque Terre.
- Group Transportation
Limo transfer from airport to hotel in Rome, 1st class trains (whenever available) or private van transfers between cities, Metro and Bus pass in Rome, Cinque Terre Treno pass, Vaporetta pass in Venice and transfer to airport in Venice - Some Meals
All breakfasts, some lunches or dinners if they are specified as part of an excursion - Restaurant Recommendations
Some of our excursions include fixed menu lunches or dinners. Dining together enhances the sense of camaraderie and contributes to the overall experience. However, sometimes you may prefer a quiet dinner rather at the time of your choosing rather than a group event. Most lunches and dinners are at your own expense and provide the flexibility to make your own choices. We will recommend restaurants that we have enjoyed in the past. We choose relatively inexpensive restaurants that serve good food. It is usually possible to get a table for two or four without a prior reservation. A table for 10 requires prior planning and a more rigid schedule. - Flexibility
This is not a one size fits all tour. Since it is a small group, we can offer more choices in terms of category of hotel rooms, optional excursions, and personal interests. Singles are welcome to join us though prices are based on double occupancy and will vary for single occupancy. Itineraries listed on this site are merely suggestions and tours are customized to your interests. Tours are offered in June and September. Contact us for specific dates and availability.

Not everyone is up for a full day in an art museum, but for some it will be the highlight of their trip. - Upgrades
Standard hotel rooms may be upgraded to Deluxe at additional cost.
